ABOUT US
The Afrimerican Culture Initiative Inc. (afrimericanone) is a Boston based 501 c 3 nonprofit organization with the mission to "build cultural bridges in the African diaspora through Education, Technology and Travel'. Our primary function is to develop African diaspora cultural curriculum which we are launching via the City of Boston Summerlink2020 program next month. We also work in the community to encourage cultural competency in regard to communities of color. While racism is the problem, we believe cultural competency is the solution.
#ALLYBOSTON
#allyboston is our campaign designed to source more opportunities for all cultures to effectively ally on REAL PROJECTS in the African American community. We will focus heavily on cultural competency education in African diaspora context to achieve successful project outcomes. While the White/Black cultural divide in America is our main focus, we encourage all cultures especially African immigrants who are extremely misinformed on African American issues yet benefit the most. We invite all cultural communities ( Afro LatinX, Afro- Caribbean and any other cultures) that wish to understand and ally with the African American community to come to the table.
With the tragic loss of George Floyd and the Global response against racial inequality and justice in America, people are asking how best to ally with the African American community? In response to this question, we are hosting a webinar called Juneteenth #allyboston to start the conversation, educate on African American cultural challenges and introduce REAL projects in Boston, MA that people can actively ally on.
