Join us on October 9th from 12-2pm at Apponagansett Beach in Dartmouth, MA, for a beach cleanup in collaboration with Ocean Friendly Restaurant Little Moss.
Surfrider will be leading a beach cleanup, data collection, and trash sort at Apponagansett Beach (and Knowles Beach just across the street).
If you are interested in participating, please pre-register for this event.
Please consider bringing your own reusable work gloves. All other necessary equipment will be provided. There is public parking at Apponagansett Beach at 75 Gulf Rd, Dartmouth, MA 02748. When you arrive on the day, walk from the parking area towards Apponagansett Beach and look out for the Surfrider flag to find us!
While removing trash and plastic pollution from up to 2 local beaches, you will also generate both data and visuals to support advocacy efforts to stop pollution from entering the environment in the first place.
We'll spread out to collect trash and data in small groups, then meet to discuss what we have all found. Join us to protect and enjoy a piece of our MA coast!
