Avi Shemtov, the chef/owner of Simcha restaurant in Canton and the fave food truck, The Chubby Chickpea, joins us this Friday, May 15 to show you how to make an Israeli sabich sandwich and chamin potatoes and talk about his journey in Israeli food. Avi has lately been a force in providing food for students eligible for the federal free lunch program during the COVID pandemic. He’s a Boston Globe favorite, and later this month joins noted chef Ming Tsai on his nationally syndicated PBS cooking show.
Every other Friday, we’ll be joined by a local chefs, food historians, professional gourmands, and just plain foodies to share and connect about Jewish food as only JArts can. Tune in at 4pm to join the delicious fun!
