The Ancient Order of Hibernians, the oldest Irish Catholic organization in the US, is pleased to have Dr. Tricia McIvor. Tricia give a talk at their annual communion breakfast at Hibernian Hall at 151 Watertown Street in Watertown, MA.
Trish was a toddler when Bloody Sunday occurred but the events of that day, January 30th, 1972, when 13 nonviolent demonstrators were shot dead by British soldiers changed the dynamics of her family for the next 26 years. Her talk will share her own experiences and tell the stories of those who have suffered during the conflict, who have been denied justice and who’s voices need to be heard.
Tickets for the breakfast ($10) can be purchased in advance at the Lounge or by contacting Leo Falter 617.438.2757 ([email protected]) or Joe McCusker 617.924.7507 ([email protected]). They will also be available the day of the event.
