Stained Glass has been a world-renowned art form for centuries. During the medieval period Stained Glass surged in popularity as it was implemented into windows. These Cathedrals around the world continue to rank high as travel destinations for their ever-lasting Stained Glass Windows. It comes as no surprise that the techniques used to create these beautiful windows demanded great skill and artistry.
Here at The Glass Bar, we know that learning the skills of stained glass is well within your reach. Tracey Adams, our Stained Glass instructor, with more than 30 years of experience is eager to share her knowledge. Tracey views herself as a ‘life-long learner’. She is continuously learning new glass techniques to deliver the best experience to her students.
In this class, students will have the unique opportunity to create a stained glass box.
Guided by our expert instructor, Tracey Adams, this class covers advanced techniques. That said, we design our classes with beginners in mind.
Techniques learned are foiling and soldering of three dimensional pieces. You will also learn advanced techniques of placing a hinge on the box, creating a functional lid to open and close!
There will be a glass cutting demonstration during the class, though you will be working from a precut kit of glass.
