On Friday March 7th, international women's travel community Wanderful is teaming up with Ula Cafe and Wenham Street Cinema to celebrate International Women's Day (March 8) and Women's History Month with a FREE film screening of Wadjda (2012)!
We'll have Ula's full menu available (plus beer and wine!) so you can have dinner and drinks while enjoying movie night. Plus, Wanderful members will get a free cookie.
About the Movie
Wadjda (2012) is a Saudi Arabian drama about a spirited 10-year-old girl who dreams of owning a bicycle despite societal restrictions on women. Directed by Haifaa al-Mansour, the film follows Wadjda as she enters a Quran recitation competition to win the prize money, showcasing her determination and challenging traditional gender norms in Saudi Arabia. It was the first feature film shot entirely in Saudi Arabi and the first feature-length film made by a female Saudi director, and has won numerous awards at film festivals around the world.
