International Art Festival: Evaporate: Ephemeral Art from Bergen, Norway & Mobius, Boston, USA
An international art festival of live performances will be held on Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5 at the Waterworks Museum, 2450 Beacon Street, Boston, MA directly across from the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. Artists from both countries will explore their relationship to water with a variety of formats, including performance, sound, video and digital art. Artists will activate the Waterworks Museum’s exhibition halls, grounds, and the nearby reservoir on both days.
Participating artists include: Nife Brzoza, Jan-Egil Finne, Anette Friedrich Johannessen, Kurt Johannessen, Nayara Leite, Mia Øquist, Pavana Reid, Bjørn Venø, artists from Performance Art Bergen in Bergen, Norway and Lani Asuncion, Margaret Bellafiore, Jimena Bermejo, Philip Fryer, Serena Gabriels, Forbes Graham, Jeff Huckleberry, Sandy Huckleberry, Sara June, Heather Kapplow, Max Lord, Marcel Marcel, Tom Mackie, El Putnam, Kledia Spiro, Joanna Tam, artists from Mobius in Boston.
The International Performance Festival, Boston, USA is an outgrowth of the Waterworks Museum ongoing exhibition, "Reservoir, What The Water Knows", a multifaceted art exhibit curated by Arlinda Shtuni.
The festival will be held during the day on Saturday, from 10 am to 3 pm and in the evening from 7-9 pm. On Sunday, from 10 am to 3 pm and in the evening from 7-9 pm. All daytime events are free and open to the public. Evening events are $15 with tickets available at the door, cash, cards, venmo, and paypal accepted.
