Envisioned by Longy alumna, Alexandra Whitfield, five Boston area composers were commissioned to write pieces based on the compelling words of Dr. King. This commemorative experience features music for soprano and strings interspersed with original poetic reflections. Remembering Dr. King, and recommitting ourselves to his dream of renewing the best within us, we gather to hear his prophetic language set anew at the site of his last public appearance in Cambridge.
