Blueprint Projects is pleased to present "in-habit," a group exhibition co-curated by Elizabeth Moy and Wendy Wolf in their pop-up location at Lincoln Arts Project, 289 Moody Street in Waltham, MA. Participating artists include Freedom Baird, Hannah Perrine Mode and Sandrine Schaefer. Drawing on a variety of approaches including performance, installation and photography, in-habit takes a nuanced look at our relationship to the natural world, questions established norms, and considers how our interconnectedness is shifting with rapid man made climate change.
Artist Hannah Perrine Mode uses the earth as both material and subject for storytelling and will present "Body Geology (Flow)" a performance based work "Europa (Pouring in from Taurus)," a series of cyanotypes made from ice water samples taken from her artist in residence at the Juneau Icefield Research Program. "gaggle," the latest endurance based performance piece by Sandrine Schaefer exploring human infiltration and its role in the disruption of the migratory pattern of geese will also be on view. Interdisciplinary artist, Freedom Baird will present the "Human Nature Field Desk" where visitors are encouraged to sit and ponder the origins of the human/nature divide, learn about the "Human Nature Dictionary," and coin new words that reflect how humans are a part of nature, not separate from it.
