"As part of America history, it is important to keep in mind African American achievements and recognize the central role African American have played in the USA throughout the years”.


Art brings a positive voice to our life struggles and hopes for a better future as one community united. This group of artists project a strong message of their black roots, faith and strenghts! In celebration of Black History month, also known as African American History, you are invited to visit the Parker Hill Branch Library to be inspired by a group of community artists work: Zahirah Nur Truth, LaShonda Zene, Dwana Hope, Marilyn Jan Casey (1956-2021), Aminata (Amie) Dakowa, and Olasumbo Oladeji.
