All levels of improv experience are encouraged to join this weekly drop-in improv class. Walk ins are welcome!
About the Class
This weekly drop-in class aims to allow members of the improv community to get practice time with a variety of other members, with or without improv experience. The goal is to strengthen the community, increase improv ‘reps’, and provide a safe space for exploration.
At The Nova Comedy Collective, this is a LAUNCH CLASS - meaning it's the perfect place to start your journey, and absolutely no prior experience is necessary!
About the Location
This class is located at The Cambridge Foundry, in a room called The Point. If you head in through the front of the Foundry, you'll see a staircase straight ahead. The room is right at the top of the stairs! An elevator to the second level is also available. And if you need help, you can ask at the front table - The Foundry staff is ready to help!
About the Price
The Weekly Improv Gym is a pick-your-price event! Tickets are available at any price, including Free! A suggested donation of $10 per ticket helps us maintain our space rental and pay our instructors a fair rate.

About Shiyanbade
Shiyanbade Animashaun is a creative and tech consultant. She enjoys solving complex problems and influencing people positively. She is the founder of KEAJO, a consulting firm primarily focused on solving problems for technical teams, with a unique mix of services and tools that blend technology, art, and education. Also Shiyanbade is a founding member of The Nova Comedy Collective, Via ImprovBoston, Catalyst Comedy, the Women in Comedy Festival, and more. She has performed in various corporate training, resident and indie improv casts. Shiyanbade has worked in storytelling / sketch teams, musicals, podcasts, and video productions. She has directed, produced, and taught various improv casts and has led executive training sessions, workshops and classes for 5000+ individuals of all ages. Q: I've never been to the Cambridge Foundry. What's it like?
A: The Foundry is Cambridge's new inclusive hub for creativity and innovation! We love it there! The space is temperature controlled, and comes equipped with an elevator and gender-neutral bathrooms. You can learn more about parking, public transit, and access on their website, cambridgefoundry.org.
Q: I've never done any improv, theater, acting, or anything before. Are you SURE this class is for me?
A: Absolutely! These Improv Gym classes (or sessions) are for all levels of experience. necessary.
