Join the Loring Greenough House and Revolutionary Spaces, the organization that stewards the Old South Meeting House and the Old State House, in a discussion on the life and works of Phillis Wheatley Peters, America's first African-American poet.
Throughout the evening, we'll be featuring short films depicting the poems of Professor Honorée Fanonne Jeffers, award-winning author of Age of Phillis and will welcome discussion on pre-Revolutionary America, Wheatley Peters's impact, and how Revolutionary buildings like ours fit into the picture.
Audience limited to 50 with registration required; walk-ins will be accommodated if space allows.
