Join us on Thursday, May 13th, 7 p.m. ET. as Urban Media Arts (UMA) presents Identity, Storytelling, and Social Awareness. We will chat with the founders of the The Lao Project and The Dear Americans Project. They will share their work in building a platform for stories and voices to help others embrace their identity while connecting across many communities.


Journalist Vekonda Luangaphay (The Lao Project) and cinematographer/director Anthony Martinez (The Dear Americans Project) will be the featured presenters. Attendees will be able to reflect on this work, ask questions of the creators, and engage in discussion about the feelings and thoughts these projects stir.
