Along with H.E.R.E. Justice Coalition (a Hyde Park neighborhood organization), we at the Afrimerican Culture Initiative are organizing a protest on October 3rd to raise awareness to the harm being done to children of color who attend the Boston Preparatory Charter School.


COVID-19 has exposed people of color as being disproportionately affected largely due to underlying health issues. Healthy food choices made today will protect our children from negative health outcomes in the future.


The Mayor of the city of Boston declared ‘SYSTEMIC RACISM’ as a PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS. We believe the city has failed the students of Boston Preparatory Charter School by allowing this dangerous situation to exist.


Our Goals:


1. Re-purpose the building in this location that will compliment the goals of the Boston Preparatory Charter School and Greater Hyde Park community.


2. To introduce health and cultural nutrition programs to the students of Boston Preparatory Charter School and the Greater Hyde Park community.


PROCEEDS from this GoFundMe effort will fund 'Health and Cultural Education' programs for the Students of Boston Preparatory Charter and Hyde Park Community.


Let the Mayor and world know that this Burger King restaurant is the ‘poster child’ for this crisis and we must not allow this injustice to continue.
