Bring your kids and join the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) and Leave No Trace for an afternoon of fun and learning at the Boston Nature Center! Together we'll explore how we can enjoy the outdoors while doing our part to protect it. We will play group games and activities that explore the Leave No Trace 7 Principles and how they protect nature, animals, plants, and us! We will also take a hike together through the Boston Nature Center to observe and hear how to care for the wildlife, plants, trees, trails, and our natural world. Come learn how we can work together to enjoy and share our favorite outdoor places! This activity is appropriate for all ages and is accessible.
Please join us at the Boston Nature Center visitor center at 500 Walk Hill St. in Mattapan. Wear sturdy walking shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather. Bring your own water bottle. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early so we can be sure to start on time.
