Avery Bar Chocolat offers hot cocoa menu and invites young guests to write and send letters to Santa at the North Pole


WHAT:  

Avery Bar at The Ritz-Carlton, Boston invites guests to sit by a cozy, elevated marble fireplace and warm up with a selection of delicious sweets and pastries along with a steaming, decadent cup of hot cocoa. A sweet extension of Avery Bar, Avery Bar Chocolat debuts on Saturday, November 30th and will continue to welcome guests on the weekends through the upcoming holiday season.


HOW: 

Whether ice-skating on the Boston Common Frog Pond nearby, enjoying a performance of Boston Ballet's “The Nutcracker” at Citizens Bank Opera House across the street, or in the area after shopping in downtown, the Seaport or on Newbury Street, Avery Bar Chocolat welcomes guests to warm up this holiday season with a selection of hot cocoas and sweets paired to make your hot chocolate “perfectly nice” or “sinfully naughty.” 


Guests can order their cocoa table-side and will be treated to a selection of toppings curated by Ritz-Carlton, Boston Pastry Chef Christoper Goluszka. Accompaniments this season include egg nog choux pastry puff, black forest tart, white chocolate candy cane torte, vanilla marshmallow and caramel whipped cream.


Children will be served a lighter, more traditional cocoa while adults will be offered a richer, decadent cocoa which they can make “naughty” by adding their favorite spirit or cordial, for an additional charge.


ABOUT:

According to Pastry Chef Christoper Goluszka, “our perfect cup of hot cocoa is a blend of milk and dark chocolate. For milk chocolate, we use Maracaibo Créole, made with cream powder, that impresses with its creaminess and delicate cream-caramel notes. For dark chocolate, Maracaibo Clasificado with coffee, plum, orange blossom and cinnamon aromas is used. The gentle blending process beautifully unfolds a well-balanced cup of hot cocoa that will warm you any chilly day this winter.”
