The Horszowski Trio takes its name from acclaimed Polish American pianist Mieczysław Horszowski—Ms. Aizawa was his last student at the Curtis Institute. Horszowski studied with Theodor Leschetizky in Vienna. Leschetizky studied with Carl Czerny. And Carl Czerny, of scalar and arpeggio fame, studied with Ludwig van Beethoven. In this concert, the Trio will celebrate the degrees of separation between them and the only composer whose name adorns Symphony Hall.

Longy is excited to announce that the acclaimed Horszowski Trio will be Ensemble-in-Residence this year. The trio will offer a series of three recitals exploring Homeland and its role in Beethoven’s life.

In honor of Longy's centennial, the School is proud to offer many concerts free of charge and open to the public. Please consider making a donation along with your ticket reservation to help Longy continue to provide world-class musical performances for the surrounding community.
