"Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song..."
As the orbiting sun begins to return its glow to our skies, the Horizon Ensemble is here to present music pondering the theme of cycles. Since 2021, the Horizon Ensemble has performed music by friends alongside works of history. Come join us on Saturday, February 24 at the Church of the Covenant for our first concert of 2024!
The first half of the concert contains chamber music by composers such as Kate Soper and J.S. Bach, along with our friends Olivia D. Jones and Chloe Smith. We'll feature guest appearances by musical friends: two members of new Pierrot quintet Der Gestanke, as well as the brass sextet The Ringers. We'll end the concert with the lively, massive Octet by George Enescu, expanded for a full string orchestra!
This is a pay-what-you-can concert, with a suggested donation of $20. We will collect donations in person at the concert, or you can find us on Venmo at @HorizonEnsemble.
This event is wheelchair accessible. No bright or flashing lights are allowed at this event. Please register with your name and e-mail address on Eventbrite. If you can't make it in person, there will be a YouTube livestream.
