Mount Willard is a 2,865 foot mountain in Carroll, NH in Crawford Notch and is considered to have one of the best views in New Hampshire (thus its placement on the 52 With A View list). The only trail up to the summit of Mount Willard is the Mount Willard Trail off Route 302 behind the Crawford Depot.

5) Multiple non-cotton layers
6) Non-cotton socks
7) 2 liters of water to be insulated inside of your backpack
8) Sandwich plus snacks
9) Hat and waterproof gloves

12) Headlamp or flashlight

Expectations
This hike is good for anyone new to winter hiking who has taken the winter hiking class or equivalent. Additionally, if you have all of the required gear and have 3-season hiking experience, you may also attend. This trip is limited in the number of non-carpoolers who can join since our community is based on accessibility. Don't ask to increase the number of NCPs, because I won't. Please write your experience once you join if your Ridj-it profile does not have an extensive history. You must do aerobic exercise regularly, but this will not be a killer hike since we're looking at 3.2 miles or so with 1,077 ft elevation gain - very doable for people with hiking experience (not walking, hiking). I love questions - please ask me if you have any because everyone who's prepared deserves to have a great day outside.
