Mount Pierce (Formerly named Mount Pleasant) is a 4,780 foot mountain in the Presidential Range in Carroll, New Hampshire, Coös County in the White Mountains. It's summit offers 360 degree views of the New Hampshire mountains including Mount Washington. It was named after President Dwight D. Eisenhower and is a great beginner hike for for those in decent shape and interested in getting a taste of the 4,000 footers during summer.
We will take the Crawford Connector to Crawford Path and back down again. We will not do Mt. Eisenhower; please feel free to post a separate trip on Ridj-it if you're trying to bag that mountain as well. I will not allow the group to separate and do that mountain. You are expected to have a map of this hike downloaded on your phone and/or on paper; I am not your personal guide. We will hike together and stay together.
What to bring:
1) Hiking boots or similar sturdy trail footwear
2) 2 liters of water
3) Food and snacks
4) Map of this hike (available on AllTrails, Google Maps, etc)
5) Sun block
6) Bug spray
7) Hat & sunglasses
8) Rain coat if needed
