Come and hike the famous "Fliberty", Flume and Liberty. We will be doing an out-and-back going up Liberty Spring Trail to Mount Liberty. From Liberty we'll go over to Mount Flume by way of Fraconia Ridge Trail, then back the way we came. Both Flume and Liberty have spectacular views from their craggy summits. You can even see into the Pemigawasett forest and some of the other peaks of the famous Pemi Loop.
You must have hiked 4,000 Footers to join this trip due to the distance but other experience may be considered..You must be in good shape to join this hike. Do not over-exaggerate your capabilities. If this is your first experience in the Whites, please consider a different hike. If you've done other hikes in the Whites please answer the questions below.
Which hikes have you done in the Whites and when?
Which 4k' have you done and when?
What is your exercise routine?

Fall is upon us and the weather is projected to be below freezing on Sunday. There may have been snow earlier in the week, but it probably won't stick on the trail, so no micro spikes or traction is necessary. If you hike enough in the Whites, you will know that the weather can change in an instant so come prepared. Better to have the extra layers/gear and not need it then to need it and not have it! No point in being miserable. For your own safety and for those who want to enjoy the hike, those who show up unprepared, will be turned away. No exceptions!
Mandatory list of equipment:
Hiking boots or trail runners
Extra pairs of socks
No cotton layers, think something that dries quick and keeps you warm
Fleece, rain/wind shell jacket
Glove, winter hat
Headlamps
Snacks and meal
2-3L of water
I am not your personal tour guide but we should all hike together and stay together. Hard to get lost on a loop trail but it's best to have a copy of the map downloaded to your phone just in case. You can find a map here:
Depending on how everyone feels after the hike, we will find a place for dinner and beers. Some good options not far from the trailhead!
