Mount Moosilauke is a 4,000 footer in New Hampshire and counts as one of the 48 for the state. It features 360 degree views, which can be incredible in the winter. We start hiking from the Gorge Brook trailhead, which will lead to the summit. The distance from the trailhead to the summit is 3.3 miles. We'll be descending via the Carriage Road for 1.2 miles before heading onto the Snapper Trail for 0.9 miles. This will take us back to the Gorge Brook Trail and to the parking area. Due to the road closure, an additional 0.25 mile will be added to the overall hike.
Note: This is a weekday hike. The benefits of weekday hiking include fewer crowds, less traffic, and more parking available. The summits won't be as busy.
