Mount Moosilauke is a 4,000 footer in New Hampshire and counts as one of the 48 for the state, in addition to the New England 67 and the Northeast 115. It features 360 degree views, which can be incredible in the winter. We start hiking from the Gorge Brook trailhead, which will lead to the summit. The distance from the trailhead to the summit is 3.3 miles. We'll be descending via the Carriage Road for 1.2 miles before heading onto the Snapper Trail for 0.9 miles. This will take us back to the Gorge Brook Trail and to the parking area. Due to the road closure, an additional 0.25 mile will be added to the overall hike. Previous hiking experience is required, preferably with at least 1,500 ft. of elevation gain. However, no previous winter hiking experience is needed, as long as you have the proper gear.

There will be a gear check for this hike at the pick up location and at the trailhead if you're a non-carpooler. If you don't have the gear, you will not be allowed to join the hike. No exceptions!
