Mt Major offers the best views of Lake Winnipesaukee and also offers views of the White Mountains in the distance. The Straightback warrants a visit as well! This mountain is a great complement to Mt. Major and will take you through some less visited trails. The trail loop is 5.2 miles, has elevation gain of 1,528 feet and is rated easy to moderate in difficulty, with some steepness and rocks, but it is very manageable. It also gives a change of scenery and different perspective which is best used from the month of April until October. Once we finish our hike, we'll be heading to Stoneface Brewery for some awesome food and drinks. Please do not join this hike unless you're willing to go out with everyone afterwards. This is a fun, healthy, and social event; if you want to just go for a hike, feel free to post this same adventure for a different day with those stipulations.
