//PRICE AND ACCESSIBILITY
The ticket price includes the cost of labor and taxes (of which nearly 50% of our tickets go to) in a way that most menus don't; and the price we set reflects the real cost of our commitment to people and to the planet. No creator (chef, artist, bartender) should be expected to labor for little to no compensation, and many conventionally grown ingredients purchased at a low price, point to a love for cheap labor and exploitation. Additionally, our dining experiences often take months of coordination and many days of labor to produce.
That being said, when we meet a set threshold of ticket revenue, we become able to offer tickets at a reduced rate to community members for whom this price is a hardship. We recognize these people as any of the following:
- People who have supported our work in the past or who belong to organizations with a relationship to Olio
- People with whom we personally have a current relationship
- Activists, public servants and youth identified by either of the above
If you are a community member who can sponsor others to go, please purchase a ticket through the link http://tanam.tocktix.com and email Ellie at [email protected].
