Vocalist, composer, improviser, tireless explorer and experimenter in the use of the human voice, Marilena Paradisi's work ranges from jazz to total improvisation and contemporary classics. She is internationally recognised for the richness of expression and her talent for interpretation, with reviews in the top international magazines of the sector like Jazzhot, Jazztimes, Musica Jazz, Jazzit; Cadence etc. She is among the few Italian singers to be reviewed in the prestigious American magazine JazzTimes, in 2002, for both her debut CD and also 2017 for her latest and eighth CD as a leader: Some Place Called Where (Losen Records 2017). Here Marilena Paradisi met the legendary piano master Kirk Lightsey for a recording of intimate and great songs. Christopher Loudon of Jazz Times said of this recording, "Paradisi demonstrates the same captivating ability to fully meld with the songs without dampening their distinct moods." From 2002 to 2014, Marilena brought out as many as 7 albums as a leader, in collaboration with important Italian and international musicians. The first three were jazz albums: I’ll Never Be The Same (Philology 2002), with the Eliot Zigmund trio, Intimate Conversation (Abeat Records 2004) duetting with bassist Pietro Leveratto, the live CC Pensiero, Homage to Gino Paoli, in trio with Renato Sellani and Dino Piana (Philology 2007). The last three CDs consist of contemporary music and total improvisation, Raibow Inside (Silta Records 2010), with guitarist Arturo Tallini, Prelude For Voice and Silence (Siltaclassics 2011) solo voice in duo with Japanese singer Michiko Hirayama. The sixth CD in her name Come dirti, with special guest Stefania Tallini and now the seventh original project The cave, dialogues between echoes of stone with percussionist Ivan Macera; (SiltaRecords 2013), a research about the sound in the Paleolitic Era that she presented at Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. Her artistic ventures have involved concerts and original projects and Masterclasses all around the world, in Italy, Finland, New York, India, France, Portugal, Madrid and above all Berlin.

The legendary jazz pianist Harvey Diamond has graced the Boston area for decades with his music which is at once both deeply intricate and deeply emotional to even the most casual listener. Over the years he has performed across the U.S. and in Europe. among Lennie Tristano's last students in the 1970's, and has done concert appearances with NEA Jazz Masters Sheila Jordan, Dave Liebman, and Art Farmer, and also with Charles Neville, Herb Pomeroy, Harvie S, Jay Clayton, Joe Hunt, Don Alias, Jason Palmer, Cameron Brown, Marc Johnson, Marcus McLaurine, and many others. He has released his second CD as a leader, Fair Weather, with Cameron Brown. This follows is first CD, The Harvey Diamond Trio. Cameron Brown says of Harvey, "Harvey Diamond is a unique and brilliant musician: a pianist's pianist with a remarkable touch, unimpeachable technique and enormous dynamic range. A creative and unpredictable improvisor, Harvey's roots go back to Lennie Tristano and Bill Evans, spiced with just a touch of Cecil Taylor. He draws the audience into his world and holds it spellbound."

Bassist Jon Dreyer is one of Harvey Diamond's closest collaborators. He also performs regularly with James Merenda, both as a member of his band TickleJuice and also in more mainstream jazz settings. He has performed with NEA jazz master Sheila Jordan as well as most of the Boston jazz community, including George Garzone, Jason Palmer, Adam Janjigian, Yoko Miwa, Frank Wilkins, Dominique Eade, Joe Hunt and Steve Langone.

Originally from Brazil, Renato Malavasi has been performing and studying the drum set since 1988. Recipient of the Berklee College of Music Best Scholarship, where he graduated from in 2000, Renato currently resides in Boston, and shares the stages of the New England area with some of the most unique musicians. His performances range widely from instrumental jazz trios, quartets, quintets, and big bands to accompanying jazz singers. Other performances, recordings, and experiences include projects with Brazilian and Afro Cuban groups as well. He has also toured and given clinics in Japan. Before coming to Boston in 1997, Renato performed extensively throughout Brazil accompanying folk singers, and was also involved in other instrumental projects as a performer and student of Brazilian music and culture. Since November of 2008, he has been part of the Education Outreach City Music Boston Program teaching staff. This a program directly related to and sponsored by Berklee College of Music, with the main goal of reviving musical education in public schools.
