Join us for a summer evening of art, fun, food, and more on an extra special Museums at Night to celebrate American Watercolors, 1880–1990: Into the Light—both the exhibition and the book! This event is free and open to everyone.
Come dressed in your favorite watercolor-inspired style and enjoy watercolor-themed activities throughout the evening. There will also be brief tours of the exhibition, starting at 5:30pm and ending at 8pm. In the Materials Lab, learn about the techniques and qualities of watercolor paint, and try your hand at some of the painting tricks used by artists featured in the exhibition.
Additionally, food and drink will be available for purchase in the spectacular Calderwood Courtyard, all set against the smooth sounds of Boston’s own DJ C-Zone. The featured local vendors for the June At Night event are Basho Japanese Brasserie and Night Shift Brewing.
Explore the exhibitions From the Andes to the Caribbean: American Art from the Spanish Empire and American Watercolors, 1880–1990: Into the Light on Level 3.
When arriving, enter via Quincy Street. In inclement weather, please use the Prescott entrance as it provides extra shelter. Advance reservations are encouraged, but walk-in visitors are always welcome. Please note that space may be limited due to capacity. Reservations are available two weeks before the event.
