The Harmony on the Green Coffeehouse Concerts at Hancock Church is pleased to present the terrific singer/songwriter Catie Curtis as our final show of our inaugural season! For over 25 years, Catie toured full-time in the US and Europe, releasing 14 recordings and selling over 250,000 CDs (not to mention streaming and downloads). She has recorded for major (EMI Guardian) and independent (Rykodisc, Vanguard and Compass) labels, collaborating with some of the finest musicians and producers in the country. Before the pandemic, she continued to play shows for a legion of fans who shared stories with her at the merch table night after night. Her songs have been featured in films and tv shows, and she performed several times at the White House during the Obama administration. We’re thrilled that she can join us to close out this fantastic season of music on Saturday, May 6th at 7:30 p.m.
Harmony on the Green is a new Coffeehouse concert series hosted by Hancock Church in Lexington. “We’ve had a terrific launch to this new series, with a great response from the community.” says Mark Morgan, Director of Music at the church, “Each concert is wildly different musically.” The first three shows featured singer/songwriters Alastair Moock and Reggie Harris, the Celtic duo of Matt and Shannon Heaton, and the Green Sisters.
Tickets may be purchased at hancockchurch.org/coffeehouse. Ticket price is a suggested donation of $20, or a max $50 per family, but all are encouraged to attend and to pay what they can. Reservations are strongly encouraged. The show will take place on Saturday, May 6 at 7:30pm in Clark Hall at Hancock Church, 1912 Massachusetts Ave in Lexington. Free parking is plentiful and the church is handicap accessible. Complimentary refreshments will be served. The show is appropriate for all ages.
