Head out to Amesbury for an afternoon of Cider and Cheese Pairing with Life. Love. Cheese. at Cider Hill Farm.
Take your tastebuds on a tour of New England! During the class, you'll learn about how different styles of cheese are made while sampling six hand-selected local cheeses and accompaniments. You'll taste of everything from fresh to bloomy to funky to sharp to blue all from New England Cheese Makers.
While noshing on cheeses, you'll sample six of Cider Hill Farm's unique ciders made from the apples in the orchard right outside the barn!
Learn about what makes great pairings and which beers bring out the subtle notes of a cheese. All the cheeses and pairings come from small Northeastern Artisans.
About Cider Hill Farm's Hard Cider: Cider Hill Cellars is owned and operated by the 3rd generation of the Cook family. They opened the hard cidery in 2017 producing what is known as “Orchard Cider”. This is hard cider made only from 100% of their own fruit that is planted, grown, harvested and pressed on CiderHill's 145 acre farm. With 10,000 apple trees on Cider Hill Farm, 1,000 of these are specific for hard cider making.
About your cheese instructor: Kimi, the founder of Life. Love. Cheese. has a MLA in Gastronomy and an Artisan Cheese Certificate from BU. She's also trained in cheesemaking at Sterling College alongside Jasper Hill and now she is an artisan cheese instructor at BU. Life. Love. Cheese. highlights American cheese makers and artisans with a special emphasis on the Northeast.
