Borrowing from the musical languages from the bayou, the blues and the countryside of Eastern Europe, Happy Boz'll traverses many landscapes. Featuring Kit Buckley on reeds, Kirsten Lamb on Bass, Ian Goldstein on Mandolin and Michael McLaughlin on Accordion.
Melissa Weikart on voice and piano will be presenting a set of old and new songs. Eschewing the trappings of modern sonic decadence in favor of the simple ageless pallete of piano and voice, Weikart subtly displays her mastery over pen and canvas, drawing a hyperrealist landscape with words and sound and the scattered, piercing perceptions of a restless mind taking the hypocritical world to task, and leaving us wanting more.
