Hancock United Church of Christ will hold its annual “Blessing of the Animals” service on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 4:00pm on the front steps of the sanctuary. The church will celebrate with music from the River Rock Band, ranging from roots/acoustic to jazz, gospel, Celtic, world, and more. The service will emphasize the importance of animals in our lives and give thanks for the wonder and diversity of God’s creation. All animals and their human caretakers are welcome!


“The atmosphere and music is festive and it's so much fun to see all the additional family members. Our dog Finn is happy to be included, and is a big fan of the treat that came with the blessing,” said church member Julia Potter.


Hancock Church is an open and affirming, immigrant welcoming church in the heart of Lexington, right on the Battle Green at 1912 Massachusetts Ave. in Lexington, MA 02421.
