The Half Half Half Half Half Marathon is 826 Boston's annual 0.826-mile marathon that is family-friendly, pet-friendly, and wheelchair accessible! This marathon—also considered Boston's greatest shortest race—is a fun, easy, family-friendly 0.826-mile race, where you can run, walk, or wheel your way around the course on Jamaica Pond—and then call yourself a marathon runner! 


This marathon supports 826 Boston's writing, tutoring, and publishing programs that are offered FREE to more than 3,000 Boston students and their families.

Why is it called the Half Half Half Half Half Marathon? When you divide a marathon in half, and then in half again, and then in half again, and then in half again, and then in half just one more time, you'll get just a bit shy of 0.826 miles. Go ahead, check it. 



826 Boston is a nonprofit writing, tutoring, and publishing organization where students in grades K-12 and beyond can share their stories, amplify their voices, and develop as leaders in school and in life.
