This epic event will feature a unique collaboration of three world class musicians: Guy Davis, Anne Harris and Marcella Rene Simien. They are getting together prior to this show to develop an exciting new project that combines their amazingly talented and culturally diverse backgrounds. The January 11 event at The Fallout Shelter will be their very first public performance before beginning a 2019 nationwide tour.
Guy Davis: "Ambassador of the Blues". Guy has spent his musical life carrying his message of the blues around the world, from the Equator to the Arctic Circle, earning him the title “An Ambassador of the Blues”. His work as an actor, author, and music teacher earmark him as a renaissance man of the blues. His guitar, harmonica, voice and captivating stage presence have wow'd Fallout Shelter sold-out crowds twice before.
Anne Harris: "Blueseician". Nowhere will you find a more expressive blues artist than the mystic violinist Anne Harris. Rolling, blending and folding in a variety of musical influences from Celtic to Americana to Funk she embodies a musical genre-morphing Blues sound that is all her own. Anne is an Internationally recognized instrumental talent.
Marcella Rene Simien: "Swamp Soul Songstress". Born into a historied southern Louisiana creole family and daughter of two-time Grammy award winning Zydeco luminary Terrance Simien, Marcella's squeezbox mastery combines her heavy Zydeco background with what fellow musicians refer to as a style reminiscent of "the glory days of Memphis soul music".
We are incredibly honored that this illustrious trio has chosen the Fallout Shelter to inaugurate this very special production. We expect this to sell-out quickly, so make your reservation soon..
If you aren't familiar with the Fallout Shelter, we're a non-profit video recording studio masquerading as an 80-seat 1940's nightclub in the basement of an 18th century mill building in Norwood, MA. We're at 61 Endicott St just off Rt 1A.
