Led by our team of knowledgeable and passionate Historic Site Educators, the tour will guide visitors through two stories of this National Historic Landmark along Boston's Freedom Trail and through over 330 years of Boston history through the lens of King's Chapel and its historic members.
Over the course of this 35-40 minute tour, visitors will explore the ground level and gallery of King's Chapel's 1754 building, and gain a fuller understanding of King's Chapel's significance in Boston's historic landscape. From its founding in 1686 as New England's first Church of England to the impact on slavery and the colonial slave trade on Boston's growth to weathering the American Revolution to a theological revolution within the church in the 1780s, there is so much rich and powerful history to explore on a visit to King's Chapel.
