A 2-part tale of local community activism and the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI).

Holding Ground: The Rebirth of Dudley Street

by Leah Mahan and Mark Lipman

Film Screening & Discussion

March 22, 2024 @ 6 - 9 PM

DMC Lecture Hall, MassArt

Holding Ground is at once a cautionary tale of urban policies gone wrong and a message of hope for all American cities. In 1985, African-American, Latino, Cape Verdean, and European-American residents in Roxbury, MA united to revitalize their community.

This event is hosted by MassArt's Center for Art and Community Partnerships (CACP).
