The Esplanade Association is excited to present GroundBeat: A Virtual Series Featuring BAMS Fest, a five-part virtual concert series featuring artists of different music styles and backgrounds from throughout Greater Boston! GroundBeat is the Esplanade’s FREE Riverfront Music Series that aims to increase opportunities to perform on the Esplanade for producers and artists across greater Boston who are committed to increasing inclusivity and diversity in Boston’s arts scene.
GroundBeat: A Virtual Series Featuring BAMS Fest will take place every Monday night in August from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm and feature two artists or groups per night curated by BAMS Fest.
All performances will take place virtually on Zoom, and all event attendees will receive a specific Zoom link prior to each event. You must pre-register to receive the zoom link. Access credentials will be emailed at 4:00pm the date of each concert.
We partnered with BAMS Fest for this year’s GroundBeat: A Virtual Series to both produce and curate a variety of diverse, inclusive, and entertaining performances virtually. BAMS Fest has presented at GroundBeat on the Esplanade every summer since its launch in 2018 and has attracted over 400 people of color to the Hatch Shell stage. Technical assistance is being provided by the Loop Lab, a Cambridge-based non-profit social enterprise specializing in media arts internships and digital storytelling.
