Join Us at the GROLIER POETRY FESTIVAL –
A STREET FAIR and AN OPEN HOUSE
These events are the second in a series of celebrations for our 90th Anniversary.
STREET FAIR on Plympton Street, in the afternoon.
OPEN HOUSE Inside the Book Shop, from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Our Poetry Festival includes an exciting lineup of poets, programs, theatrical performances, and workshops.
SOME HIGHLIGHTS
CHILDREN'S HOUR AT 12NOON:
• Boston Shakespeare Project, Shakespeare in Motion: https://tinyurl.com/y7asahxr will present an adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in spoken word, for children ages 8-12.
• Poetry reading for children.
POETRY READINGS, PROGRAMS, AND WORKSHOPS, FROM 1PM ON:
• David Ferry will lead our lineup of poets, reading from his translations and his poetry, followed by Kathleen Spivack, and Lloyd Schwartz reading with Lillian Yvonne Bertram.
• Michael Mack will perform from Hearing Voices, Speaking in Tongues, https://tinyurl.com/yd4bsj4k
• Jim Vrabel will perform from John Berryman's The Dream Songs.
• Diana Norma Szokolyai will lead a segment with poets from the Cambridge Writers' Workshop, hold a manifestos writing workshop, based on the book she and Rita Banerjee wrote: CREDO: An Anthology of Manifestos and Sourcebook for Creative Writing (C&R Press, May 2018).
• Poetry readings with music and with dance...to be announced.

general tasks, as well as volunteers with experience in events and theatrical productions.
