The Grand Kyiv Ballet proudly announces their return to Boston after the highly successful run of the Snow Queen and The Nutcracker with the highly anticipated performance of the timeless ballet masterpiece, Swan Lake at the iconic Emerson Colonial Theatre on February 19th and 20th. The performance is brought to life by Daniel Kish and Anna Stoianova.
The back-to-back performances of Swan Lake will play for two nights only at Boston’s Emerson Colonial Theatre on Wednesday, February 19th and Thursday, 20th at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and are available here.
By performing this ballet, the Grand Kyiv Ballet is giving back to their community. Part of the proceeds of this tour will go to restoring the Main Ballet Academy of Ukraine and repairing the children’s dormitory. By attending the performance, audiences not only bear witness to a captivating ballet but also contribute to the preservation and enhancement of this esteemed institution that has nurtured generations of exceptionally talented dancers.
ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
Swan Lake is a ballet masterpiece that tells the story of a prince who falls in love with a beautiful swan princess Odette who is under the spell of a sorcerer. The ballet is renowned for its stunning choreography, intricate set design, and Tchaikovsky’s captivating music. Its themes of love, sacrifice, and redemption continue to resonate with audiences of all ages and backgrounds, making it a timeless classic that has endured for more than a century.
This timeless tale of love and magic will be brought to life by the most prestigious dancers from Ukraine, Italy, Spain, the USA and Japan and will be an unforgettable experience, featuring stunning stunning performances.
The performance is interpreted by principal dancers Daniel Kish and Anna Stoianova. Kish attended Boris Eifman Dance Academy and he has been with the Grand Kyiv Ballet since 2023. Stoianova graduated from Kyiv State Choreographic School and previously worked for the National Opera of Ukraine from 2020 to 2022, she has been with the Grand Kyiv Ballet since 2022.

The Grand Kyiv Ballet, consisting of 35 exceptionally talented dancers from Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Odessa, has been on a global tour, using their art to express deep emotions and concerns arising from recent events in Ukraine. Despite the challenges, the artists continue to captivate audiences worldwide, having performed at prestigious venues such as the Opera National de Paris, Bunka Kaikan in Tokyo, and the National Opera in Oslo.
