Following its sold-out run in the Berkshires this summer, Shakespeare & Company presents a limited run of Golda’s Balcony in Boston from February 23 through March 10, at the Jackie Liebergott Black Box Theatre at the Emerson Paramount Center.
Golda’s Balcony, the inspiring true story of Golda Meir – Russian immigrant, American school teacher, and fourth Prime Minister of Israel – premiered in 2002 at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Mass., directed by Daniel Gidron and featuring Elliot Norton Award-winner Annette Miller in the title role. Golda’s Balcony went on to become the longest-running one-woman show in Broadway history, and now returns to its roots with Miller reprising her acclaimed performance, and Gidron returning to direct.
