Feldman Geospatial takes you to into the groove, soul and gospel spots this week when the GEORGE W. RUSSELL, JR. BAND shows up this Thursday, June 6 at Long Live Roxbury . . . Boston's newest jazzy hangout, brewery and taproom. Located at 152 Hampden Street in Roxbury, the spot offers free admission and free parking!
The show begins at 6 pm and runs to around 8:30 pm. Local chefs are on site with home cooked food for sale on site.

Performer, composer, and educator George W. Russell Jr. has been playing piano since he was seven years old. Whether he’s solo, accompanied by his groove-oriented jazz trio, or part of a boisterous larger ensemble, Russell arouses intellects and touches souls with his unique fusion of gospel and soul.
Wes Wirth is a prolific composer, writing for his bass, guitar, and voice, and for many other collaborators. Wes’ unique style has been described as, “visually expansive, a hyperbolic sound-scape, sonically erotic, sensually inviting, and mysteriously tender.” Wes’ inspiration comes from observing, and participating with the elemental forces of nature, and the stunning diversity and cultural beauty in the world. Wes has recorded or toured with legends such as Chuck Mangione and King Sunny Ade and George Russell, innovators like, Hal Crook, and Yazhi Guo, drum masters Rakalam Bob Moses and Kenwood Dennard and guitar giants Stanley Jordan, Vernon Reid and David Fiuczynski.
Drummer Dave Cowan a.k.a. “The Young Professor” has performed with some of the greatest musicians and performers including Brian McKnight, Howard Hewitt, Clark Terry, The Boston Pops, Lalah Hathaway, Frank McComb, Shirley Caesar, Ali Woodson, Daryl Coley, Jennifer Holiday, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., The Fifth Dimension, Tom Coster, Abraham Laboriel Sr. Walter Beasley, Andre Ward, Errica Campbell (from gospel duo Mary Mary) and many more. Currently, David is promoting the latest release from his LA based Afro-Latin funk/Rock band One Tribe Nation!
