Come to the Library for some Food For Thought!


The SPL and Green City Growers are partnering to offer organic gardening workshops for all ages at the Central Library Demonstration Garden. A Green City Growers farmer will lead hands-on workshops designed to teach you when and what to plant, and how to maintain, fertilize, and harvest successful crops.


There's no registration necessary. Just wear comfortable clothes and come ready to get your hands dirty!


Gardening workshops will take place throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons on the following dates: May 7, May 28, June 18, July 9, July 30, August 20, September 10, October 1, and October 22.


These workshops are made possible with funding by the Friends of the Somerville Public Library.
