Garage Band: The Arlington Porchfest After-Party

Arlington’s homegrown music dance party makes its rockin’ return on Saturday, June 15 at 6pm! Billed as the “After Party” to Arlington Porchfest, Garage Band has become a beloved event to celebrate music and community! 

Garage Band 2024 features the bluegrass band Local Freight, entertaining all with “clean harmonies, strong pickin’ and a solid groove.” The band is tuning up now for its appearance at Arlington’s coolest outdoor venue, Arlington Global Service Station on Mass Ave. This year’s celebration will include some family-friendly additions thanks to Mystic Open Studios, an Arlington arts incubator. You and the kids can enjoy some bead crafts, movement props, and some bubbles.

Once the last tunes of Porchfest fade to an echo, make your way via public transit, bike, foot, wheels, wagon, wings to Abe’s at 334 Massachusetts Avenue for a good time. Garage Band is a free, family-friendly event brought to you by the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture at ArtsArlington.org, supported by funding from the Mass Cultural Council.
