Ancient Greek and Roman societies featured a rich spectrum of artistic portrayals of women, ranging from idealized depictions—the goddesses of Olympus, for instance—to more nuanced ones that captured women in their daily lives. This talk takes a closer look at such portrayals in objects in the galleries.
