G'23: Gilman Square Arts & Music Festival

The Gilman Square Neighborhood Council in partnership with the Somerville Arts Council invites you, your families, and friends to a great annual end-of-summer event.

The Gilman Square Arts & Music Festival (the "G'23") will happen on Saturday, September 9th, 2023. (Rain date = Sunday 9/10.)

As with previous years, we'll have activities for kids and adults, many local artists, food vendors (Winter Hill Brewing, Scott Brothers Kitchen, Daddy Jones Restaurant, Dean's Concessions, Tipping Cown Ice Cream, Neighborhood Produce), and five musical acts performing on the Mad Oyster Studios campus.

Live music includes:

• 12 pm: Matt Heaton: adult-enjoyable kids' music ("toddlerbilly")
• 1 pm: Hot Molasses: (Indie-alternative)
• 2:05 pm: Eminent Domain (60s/70s funk and soul)
• 3:20 pm: The Spicy Condiments (jam band, Grateful Dead, Phish, etc.)
• 5:05 pm: Sold By Weight Brass Band (New Orleans-style horn-driven funk)

Getting there: Parking is very limited in the neighborhood. Please consider biking or walking. The G'23 Festival is located just across the tracks from the new Gilman Square Greenline T Stop!
