Join us as we welcome Canadian-born violinist Lara St. John and pianist Matt Herskowitz into the Fraser Performance Studio for the next installment of our new in-house music series, Front Row Boston.
St. John has been described as “a phenomenon" by The Strad classical music magazine and a “high-powered soloist” by The New York Times.
She has performed as a soloist with orchestras across the country and around the world. Recitals in major concert halls have included New York, Boston, San Francisco, Wolf Trap, Washington, DC, Prague, Berlin, Toronto, Montreal, Bogotá, Lima, and in the Forbidden City in China.
Her EP Bach: The Six Sonatas & Partitas for Violin Solo was the best-selling double album on iTunes in 2007.
Her performance in Fraser Performance Studio will feature Beethoven's 'Kreutzer' Violin Sonata, César Franck Sonata in A major for Violin and Piano and several short selections from Lara’s album "Shiksa."
