Friday Night At The Movies: Made Up
Friday, May 28. Curtain up 8pm
A comedy from 2002 that was written and shot in Jamaica Plain’s Myrtle Street. A look at how our cultural obsession with youthful good looks affects women who are told their value is dependent on their appearance. Starring Brooke Adams as Elizabeth, a 40-something mother who allows her sister to videotape her makeover and subsequent date with a restaurateur, played by Tony Shalhoub. Directed by Tony Shaloub and written and produced by Jamaica Plain resident Lynne Adams.
Made Up was filmed on Myrtle Street in JP and stars local resident Lynne Fifield and her sister Brook Adams. Lynne will be at the event on the 28th and will do a short talk.
All movies will feature English subtitles for the benefit of the deaf or hard of hearing.
