Join us for an enlightening evening that pays tribute to the legacy of Jane Jacobs and her vision for vibrant and sustainable communities. To help introduce the film,'Citizen Jane: Battle for the City', a group of speakers from the community, including from the city’s Planning and Development office, will offer their tributes to Ms. Jacobs and how her work impacted their lives and work as urban planners and community organizers. Be part of the conversation and the community discourse in shaping the city’s future, right in the heart of Leland Street Cooperative Garden.

The entire world honors her with Jane's Walks – citizen-led walking conversations the first week of May each year. Come prepared for a thought-provoking experience. Please bring your own lawn chairs, dress appropriately for the weather, and don't forget a flashlight. After the screening, join us for a breakdown and clean-up session to help maintain the garden's pristine environment.
