Interested in learning how to identify medicinal plants, trees and other delicious local wild edibles, while making great new friends? Join me and a few of my like-minded foraging buddies on a relaxing walk in the woods! This class is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast, nature lover or home cook, beginner forager, herbalist, or someone just looking to enjoy a day out in the woods with fun people. We will review various edibles (greens, garlic/onions, flowers, roots, herbs, etc), discuss sustainable harvesting techniques and local laws, review invasive edible species and collect specimens to study/taste. Learn 20-30 edible species that are available now and take some home with you to enjoy! The walk will be followed by a social hour featuring numerous wild crafted meads, cocktails, sodas and mocktails along with delicious, hyper-seasonal appetizers featuring many foraged wild edibles! So please bring a reusable cup if possible! Rainbow attire encouraged! *Please note: If rain/weather is an issue on the event date, a rain date will be emailed out to registrants.
