Folded-Face Puppets: Workshop for Families
A hands-on workshop inspired by paper arts innovations of the ‘70s! Create your own moving mouth puppet, with an oceanic theme.
This hands-on workshop is inspired by paper arts innovations of the ‘70s. Participants will learn to engineer paper to create their own moving mouth puppets, inspired by an “Ocean of Possibilities” theme. Dive under the sea to draw the big mouth of a hammerhead shark then add triangular teeth to complete the design, or switch to pink to add flippers and a fluke to create a swimming dolphin! Cut yellow tentacles with orange spots to make the suction cups of a dancing octopus! Anything is possible and this project is great for all creative levels.
Recommended for ages 4 - 7

Sarah has toured internationally as both PuppetKabob and Night Shade, with an original repertoire of shows and her ensemble of roser-style marionettes across the U.S., Germany, France and China. Her show The Snowflake Man was awarded an UNIMA-USA citation of excellence. Over the past year, Sarah co-produced and hosted Vermont's first ever Creemee Dreemee Puppet Slam; and performed at Highlight NYE in Burlington, VT; the Boulet Brothers (Dragula) Halloween Ball in Los Angeles. CA; Lake Eden Arts Festival's 50th anniversary celebration in Black Mountain, NC; and in Seattle, WA at the Left Coast Puppet Love Fest.
