In Fiesta Flamenca, Nino de los Reyes will teach an open level class for anyone interested in learning Flamenco, no experience required! Afterwards, enjoy a short demonstration by Nino’s students. They will be performing what they have been working on in class over the Fall semester, followed by a party which Nino calls Juerga Flamenca. This is open to anyone that wants to express themselves through Flamenco music.
Nino de los Reyes was the first bailaor (dancer) to be recognized with a Grammy award in 2020 for Best Latin Jazz album for Antidote along with music legend Chick Corea. Nino began his career at 9 years old with the Campanas Flamencas show, directed by Paco Sanchez, where he shared the stage with Joaquin Grilo, Milagros Mengibar, La Tati, Antonio Reyes and his brother Isaac de los Reyes. At the same age, he started collaborating with well-known flamenco artists like Eduardo Serrano “El Guito”, Carmen Cortes and Javier Baron among others.
He has been a crew member and performer alongside Enrique Morente, Pepe Habichuela, Josemi Carmona, Juan José Suárez “Paquete”, José María Bandera, Niño Josele, Jesús de Rosario, Juan Carmona, Ramón el Portugués, Miguel el Rubio, Montse Cortes, José Soto “Sorderita”, Rafael de Utrera, Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent, Alain Pérez, Rubén Dantas and Israel Suárez “Piraña”, Sergio Martinez, etc. Learn more about Nino here.
